In the beginning there was the word
And that’s the home where we came from
By light we born, briefed and risen
Civilized, we grew, with canons and laws
One of them, mirror them. All the same goals
The others? Nor joy, peace or grace at all
But why? I’ve asked, «We lead» they said
«That’s how it has been and always will be»
You see far: creator, shaper of dreams
Now and forever. A man? You’ll see
You see far: rising, legacy of man
Chasing tomorrow, as far as we can
«Lies, that could not be right»
Something was wrong, something inside
«What if I chose?» Maybe you may
Not their path, but your own true way?
Always been guided, by their holy will
«Was this only our ruling true real?
No, could not really be»
Arise now, your fate is not here
You see far: creator, shaper of dreams
Now and forever. A man? You’ll see
You see far: deceiver, bringer of lust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
No longer enslaved or heir anymore
Nor better or worse, as you are destined for
A fallen in skies, a black sheep in flock
But stronger, you flight with much higher wings
Do as you please for those who you love
The good and the evil, outrageous behold
Forge our future with your feeble own hands
The world awaits us, our promised lands
Now the earth was formless and empty
Darkness was over the surface of the deep
Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness
So that they may rule over the fish in the sea
And the birds in the sky
Over the livestock, and all the wild animals
Over the creatures that move along the ground
Let there be lights in the vault of the sky
To separate the day from the night
And let them serve as signs
To mark sacred times
Let us hear what you hear
Let us feel what you feel
Let us see what you see
You see far
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
This album is a concentrate of energy. No song is boring, on the contrary each one renews the pleasure. Each song is a classic stoner surprise. Addictive album! Pumpkin Thierry
